Who is Sara?

Sara was raised on a farm in Chatsworth growing up amongst horses, pigs, goats, sheep and more, not to mention her own personal animals which included 4 dogs, 3 cats, 10 guinea pigs, and a turtle.

During her teens she got a chance to work with even more animals while working as a host for reptile party company. Here she got the opportunity to care for snakes, lizards, and iguanas.

She then attended California State University of Northridge where she obtained her Bachelors of Psychology. She further continued her education at the University of Southern California receiving a Masters in Social work.

While at USC Sara specialized in behavioral psychology and gerontology. One of her specific areas of research was looking at the positive effects that pets have on the health of older adults. Sara hopes that with our new full pet services she can aid older adults who normally would not be able to have a pet, due to the large amount of physical responsibilities.

She is hoping that Doggie Angels will be able to assist these older adults by providing dog walking and nutrition services so they can still have the benefits of having a loving pet. She has a passion for animals and people and believes in the special connection between the two.
